Give to Washington College Athletics
There are a number of opportunities to give to Washington College Athletics. You can always donate to a specific sport or area of athletics or to the Athey Athletic Fund (see below). Additional special campaigns provide unique opportunities for giving. 100% of donations earmarked for sports, areas, or campaigns go to those areas.
The Athey Athletic Fund is used to support the department as a whole and can be drawn from to support department-wide efforts or individual programs in need of additional funds. It is named in honor of legendary Washington College athletic director, coach, and student-athlete Edward L. Athey '47. The Athey Athletic Fund has provided for video streaming equipment, facility and locker room renovations and refurbishments, vehicles for use on campus by the athletic training staff, defibrillators, cross-country recruiting trips, and support for intramural and recreational activities, and a host of other broad-based projects and needs.
All gifts are tax-deductible.
Locker Room Campaign
The locker room is an athlete’s second home. It’s where the team prepares before every big game, where athletes celebrate their victories and regroup after defeats. You can let student-athletes know you are with them in spirit by having your name -- or the name of someone you would like to honor -- placed above a locker for the team you support. A locker sponsorship is a compelling way to create a legacy of encouragement, celebration, and unwavering support. $500 names a locker for one year. $1,500 names a locker for life and qualifies you for membership in The 1782 Society. 100% of the gift goes toward that sport.
