Al Streelman was named the head baseball coach at Washington College in June of 1997. Streelman’s connection to the college spans four decades. He was the chief assistant coach for the Shoremen from 1979 until his promotion to head coach, specializing in pitchers and the infield.

Streelman guided the 2010 Shoremen to their first-ever Centennial Conference Tournament berth and their first appearance in a conference tournament since the 1984 Middle-Atlantic Conference Tournament.

A 1969 graduate of Washington College, Streelman was a four-year member of the varsity baseball team and played every position on the team but catcher.

Streelman’s 191 wins at Washington represent the third-highest total for a head coach in team history, a history which dates back to the 1870s. He trails only Eastern Shore Baseball Hall of Famer J. Thomas Kibler (299 wins) and Maryland State Athletic Hall of Famer Edward L. Athey (330 wins).

Travis Turgeon

Travis Turgeon was named an assistant coach for the Washington College baseball team during the summer of 2010 and was promoted to associate head coach the following summer. Turgeon served as a volunteer assistant coach for Division I Coppin State during the 2010 season and served as the pitching coach of the Bristol Collegiate Baseball Club of the New England Collegiate Baseball League the following summer.  His work with Coppin State's pitchers helped lower the Eagles' team ERA by nearly 50% from the previous season.

Beginning his collegiate baseball career at Division I University of Connecticut, Turgeon was named a 2006 Big East Academic All-Star.  Following two years at UConn, he transferred to Springfield College, where he led the Pride in batting average and wins as a senior in 2009.  Turgeon also played for the Maryland Redbirds of the Ripken Collegiate League during the summer of 2009, leading the team in ERA.

Turgeon received a B.S. in Physical Education from Springfield in 2009.  

Scott Fenton

Scott Fenton was named an assistant coach for the Shoremen in July 2011. A pitcher at Division III Mitchell College in Connecticut, Fenton served as junior varsity baseball coach at Ledyard High School, his alma mater, during the 2011 season.

During the 2009-10 academic year, Fenton served as an assistant coach at Mitchell as the Mariners were co-champions in the New England Collegiate Conference.  During his season as a coach with the Mariners, he helped the team out as a bullpen and pitching coach.  In 2010, Mitchell was co-champions in the New England Collegiate Conference.  In addition to his coaching duties, he was also responsible for helping out with team statistics, organizing team practices and the squad's conditioning and stretching sessions.

Fenton pitched for four seasons at Mitchell from 2005-08 where the baseball team reached the City University of New York Athletic Conference Tournament in 2007 and 2008.

Fenton earned a B.S. in Sport Management from Mitchell in 2008.

Mike Stangroom

Mike Stangroom was named an assistant coach for the Shoremen in July 2011. A former all-conference pitcher at Division I University at Buffalo, Stangroom served as pitching coach at Medaille College during the 2010-11 academic year.

At Medaille, Stangroom improved Medaille's team ERA from 7.21 in 2010 to 4.87 in 2011. The Mavericks finished the season 22-16, improving from a 18-18 record the previous season, and had a pitcher named to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference first team.

Stangroom also has extensive experience coaching in high school, summer leagues, and camps. Most notably, he is serving as the pitching coach for the Hornell Dodgers of the New York Collegiate Baseball League this summer and served as the pitching coach for his alma mater of Calvert Hall College (MD) High School during the 2010 season.

Stangroom was named to the All Mid-American Conference second team as a junior at Buffalo in 2008. He was twice named the Mid-American Conference Pitcher of the Week the following season.  Stangroom's collegiate career began in the Centennial Conference, playing at Ursinus college in 2006 and 2007 before transferring to Buffalo.  He also played with the Maryland Redbirds of the Cal Riken Sr. Collegiate League in 2007 and 2008, earning All-Star recognition each year. 

Stangroom received his B.A. in Sociology from Buffalo in 2009 and is slated to receive his Master of Sports Administration from Canisius College in August 2011.

Steve Sandebeck has been an important part of the Shoremen for over two decades. A 1973 graduate of Washington, he was a catcher during his four-year career. He specializes in coaching the catchers; no fewer than seven WC catchers have achieved all-conference recognition under his tutelage.

Scott Milligan was named a volunteer assistant coach for the Shoremen in August 2011. A teacher at nearby Kent County High School, Milligan spent the previous three years as the head coach of that school's boys varsity baseball team.

Prior to coaching at Kent County, Milligan spent six years as the head boys varsity baseball coach at Colonel Richardson High School in Federalsburg, MD.  During his nine years at the two schools, he posted a combined record of 116-75 (81-52 at Colonel Richardson and 35-23 at Kent County). He was named the All Mid-Shore Coach of the Year three times, sharing the award in 2006 and being named its sole recipient in 2007 and again in 2010.  He was also named the Maryland State Association of Baseball Coaches District VIII Coach of the Year in 2007 after leading Colonel Richardson to the Class 1A Maryland State Championship.  The following year, Colonel Richardson won the Bayside Conference Championship.

Milligan served as the Vice President of the Bayside Baseball Coaches Association from 2006 to 2011 and as the Maryland 1A East Region Tournament Director and District VIII Maryland State Baseball Committee representative from 2005 to 2011.

A 1993 graduate of Division II Bluefield State College with a B.S. in Middle/Adolescent Education, Milligan was a two-time All-West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection during his collegiate playing days.  He later earned an M.A. in Post Secondary Education from Salisbury University.

Sophomore Lucas DiFabbio is in his first season as a student assistant coach for the Shoremen.  As a member of the baseball team in 2011, he had two hits in seven at bats while playing in six games as a freshman.  He played his high school baseball at Guilford High School in Connecticut.
