CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Washington College head men's basketball coach Aaron Goodman has announced that Dallas Marshall (Germantown, Md./Clarksburg), Kevin McCormick (Springfield, Pa./Springfield), and Josh Porteous (Cocoa Beach, Fla./Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy) will serve as the team's captains for the 2018-19 season.
Marshall, a forward who will be a junior next season, averaged 9.8 points and team-bests of 5.8 rebounds and 0.6 blocks per game this past season. He started all 50 of the Shoremen's games over his first two seasons and is a two-time Shoreman of the Week and seven-time Chestertown McDonald's Shoremen Player of the Game.
McCormick, a forward who will be a senior next season, was the Shoremen's representative on the 2017-18 Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team. He averaged 2.3 points in 22 games played last season and is a former Shoreman of the Week and Chestertown McDonald's Shoremen Player of the Game.
Porteous, a guard who will be a junior next season, averaged a team-high 11.6 points per game this past season, making 2.1 three-pointers per game on 40.7% three-point shooting in 22 games, 19 of them starts. He was named the Shoremen's Most Improved Player. He is also a former Shoreman of the Week and five-time Chestertown McDonald's Shoremen Player of the Game.
