Clark Notches Career-High Four Steals

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Host Muhlenberg used an 8-0 first quarter run to take the lead for good at 10-4 on its way to a 61-37 win against visiting Washington College on Thursday evening at Memorial Hall in Centennial Conference women's basketball action.  The Mules are now 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen fall to 4-2 and 2-1 respectively.

How It Happened
- Washington led 4-2 with 7:21 left in the first quarter following a jumper by Bridge McLaughlin before Muhlenberg scored eight straight points to take a 10-4 lead with 6:05 left in the first quarter on a Carley Hamilton jumper.  Ny Thomas started the run with 7:06 left in the first on a three-pointer that put the hosts ahead for good at 5-4. 
- Leading 12-7, the Mules scored nine of the final 11 points to take a 21-9 lead after one. 
- Sara Dilly gave the hosts their biggest lead of the first half of 15 points at 32-17 when she canned a jumper with 3:45 left.  Muhlenberg took a 35-21 lead into the break.
- Muhlenberg outscored Washington 18-9 in the third quarter and 8-7 in the fourth to provide the final margin.  The Mules would push their lead to 30 during the fourth at 60-30. 

For The Shorewomen (4-2, 2-1)
- Kristi Kozlwoski (team-bests of eight points and six rebounds and game-high two blocks), Caitlyn Clark (career-topping and contest-high four steals to go with three assists), Madeline Williams (three helpers)
- Washington shot 25% from the field (15-for-61), 17% from three-point range (3-for-18) and 80% from the foul line (4-for-5). 
- Washington had 24 turnovers in the contest.

For Muhlenberg (6-0, 3-0)
- Hamilton (game-high 16 points), Thomas (14 points), Madison Kirchofer (contest-topping eight rebounds), Ashley Polera (six assists to lead all players)
- The Mules totaled a 23-9 advantage in points off of turnovers, 37-16 in bench points, 15-4 on second chance points and had a 20-10 in points in the paint.
- Muhlenberg shot 33% from the field (21-for-64), 21% from behind the arc (5-for-24) and 56% from foul line (14-for-25). 
- The Mules held a 52-42 edge on the boards and totaled 17 turnovers.

Notes
- Clark's previous high in steals was three which she has done on 11 occasions.
