Acra Named Academic All-Centennial, Seven Shorewomen Named to Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. — Washington College senior midfielder Madison Acra (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Academy) has been named Academic All-Centennial and is one of seven student-athletes from the Washington College women's lacrosse team to have been officially named members of the 2018 Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for spring sports as released today by the conference office.

In order to be named Academic All-Centennial, a student-athlete must receive All-Centennial Conference honors and qualify for the Academic Honor Roll in the same season. In order to qualify for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average. 

Acra was named to the All-Centennial Conference first team last week. This is his third time qualifying for the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll and first time qualifying for Academic All-Centennial. 

The other six Shorewomen to land on the Academic Honor Roll all qualified for the first time – senior midfielder Rachael Shaw (Bechtelsville, Pa./Boyertown), junior midfielder Caitlin Donovan (Baltimore, Md./Friends School of Baltimore), sophomore attacker Lauren Brenner (Glen Mills, Pa./Episcopal Academy), sophomore defender Kayla Catts (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional), sophomore midfielder Melissa Donato (West Chester, Pa./Reed Henderson), and sophomore midfielder Aubrey Robinson (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett)

Acra and Brenner are Biology majors, Donato is a Business Management major, Donovan is a Sociology major, and Robinson is an Economics major. Catts has yet to declare a major.
