The coxswain and eight rowers of the Shoremen's first varsity eight share this week's Shoreman of the Week honor. The first varsity eight took first place at Saturday's Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference Championships, helping the Shoremen win their third consecutive conference title.
The Shoremen won their race in 6:14.31, edging second-place Mariette by less than a half-second. Junior John Gould (Litchfield, Conn./The Gunnery) was the coxswain of the Shoremen's first varsity eight. Sophomore Zee Ali (Galloway, N.J./Absegami) sat stroke, junior Ryan Miranda (Farmington, Conn./Farmington) was in the seven seat, sophomore Teddy Connell (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville) was in the six seat, sophomore Stuart Grosvenor (Rockville, Md./Richard Montgomery) sat in the five seat, senior Jack Christ (Hydes, Md./Jemicy Upper School) was in the four seat, freshman Joe Stockburger (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) sat in the three seat, freshman Chris Eggstein (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial)was in the two seat, and junior Mark Boissonneault (Bowie, Md./DeMatha) was the bow.
