Washington College Athletic Training

It is our mission of the Athletic Training Department to provide the student-athletes the highest quality healthcare, injury specific education and awareness, and the opportunity to function efficiently.

The Athletic Training Department at Washington College delivers traditional athletic training and sports medicine services to the student-athletes in a professional, courteous, and caring manner. Our rapport with the student-athlete enables them to assess their physical and mental well-being to seek appropriate care when needed. The services provided are in the following areas:

- Prevention of athletic injuries

- Recognition, evaluation, treatment, and/or referral to appropriate medical professionals

- Rehabilitation and reconditioning of all injuries incurred by student-athletes

- Health and wellness education

We remain committed to continuing our education so our athletes can be assured of the most modern care available. The needs of the student-athlete will always be the first consideration for all members of the athletic training staff. We comply with the recommendations and guidelines as established by the National Athletic Trainers Association, Maryland Board of Physicians, NCAA Sports Medicine Committee, and the Centennial Conference.
