HIGH POINT, N.C. — Visiting Washington College put up a strong challenge into the second half, but eventually fell to host and Division I High Point 101-60 in a non-conference men's basketball game played tonight at the Millis Center in High Point, North Carolina.

How It Happened
- A jump shot from Dallas Marshall on the opening possession gave the Shoremen an early 2-0 lead, but the Panthers would score the next six points to take a 6-2 lead.
- Tray Wright knocked down a three pointer to pull Washington back within a single point at 6-5, but High Point would go on a 9-0 run to open up their first double digit lead of the night at 15-5 with 14:57 to go in the opening half.
- An 8-2 run for the Shoremen, capped off by a three pointer from Barry McCormick, narrowed the lead to 17-13 with 11:34 to go in the half, but the Panthers responded with a 14-2 run to open up a 31-15 lead with 6:19 left in the half following a three pointer from Brandonn Kamga.
- High Point led 42-26 with 1:15 to go in the half, but Washington would score the last six points of the half to cut the lead to 10 at halftime at 42-32. A three pointer from Kevin McCormick with 33 seconds to go capped the first half scoring.
- The Shoremen got within eight points at 51-43 with 16:07 to go following a pair of free throws from Austin Allen, but the Panthers scored the next seven points to push the lead back up to 15 at 58-43 with 12:57 to go.
- High Point outscored Washington 43-17 the rest of the way to provide the final margin.

For the Shoremen (5-7)
- Wright (13 points, three rebounds, three assists), Allen (11 points, team high six rebounds), Daniel Brown (seven points, four rebounds, team high two blocks), Alec Lewis (three assists).
- The Shoremen shot 31.3% from the floor in the loss, 7-for-26 from three point range, and 11-for-16 at the free throw line.

For High Point (7-7)
- Kamga (game high 18 points), Jahaad Proctor (13 points, two blocks), Ricky Madison (11 points), Caden Sanchez (10 points, two blocks), Jordan Whitehead (nine points, nine rebounds, four assists, two steals), Cliff Thomas Jr. (nine points, seven rebounds), Curtis Holland III (nine points, four assists).
- The Panthers shot 55.9% from the floor in the win, 9-for-25 from three point range, and 26-for-42 at the free throw line.
- High Point held a 51-32 advantage in rebounds and a 44-24 advantage in points in the paint.
