    The Washington College men's rowing team competed in three events at the prestigious Dad Vail regatta yesterday and today in Philadelphia, PA. The Shoremen's frosh/novice eight reached the semifinals of their event to lead the way for WC.

    For the second year in a row, Washington College head men's rowing coach John Leekley has been named the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference's Men's Coach of the Year in a vote amongst the conference's coaches. In addition, senior captains Brian Gamble and Springer Harris were named to the All-MARC varsity team.

    The Washington College men's rowing team competed in four events at the Knecht Cup, held yesterday and today on the Cooper River. The Shoremen finished fourth overall in the DII/III varsity pair event and also reached the petite final in the varsity pair.

    The Washington College men's rowing team finished the fall portion of its schedule today at the Head of the Occoquan in Lorton, VA. The Shoremen were fifth in the novice four, seventh in the collegiate eight, 10th in both the collegiate four and the novice eight.

    The Washington College men's rowing team finished 31st of 36 boats in the men's collegiate four today at the Head of the Charles regatta. The Shoremen covered the course in 18:12.72, which would have put them in 19th place, but were assessed a one-minute penalty.

    The Washington College men's rowing team opened its fall regatta schedule this morning by entering four boats in the men's collegiate four at the Philadelphia Navy Day regatta. The Shoremen's "A" boat led the way with a seventh place finish out of 22 boats.
