Three Shoremen Named All-MARC, Four Named Academic All-MARC

Three Shoremen Named All-MARC, Four Named Academic All-MARC

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Washington College senior Sean Harrison (Richmond, VA/Hazelton Area [PA]) and junior Robert Storck (Wilton, CT/St. Mark's School [MA]) have earned All Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) varsity honors, while coxswain Christie Phebus (Trappe, MD/Easton) was named to the All-MARC novice team. Harrison is also one of four Shoremen to earn MARC Academic All-Conference honors.

Storck, a repeat All-MARC selection, sat stroke in the Shoremen's varsity eight which took second at today's MARC Championships - and first among MARC boats. Harrison was in the six seat of that boat. Phebus was the coxswain of the Shoremen's winning novice four at today's MARC Championships.

Harrison, a three-time Academic All-Conference qualifier, joins junior Parker McIntosh (Berlin, MD/Worcester Prep) and sophomores Anthony Cairo (Port Murray, NJ/Warren Hills) and Chris Moylan (Silver Spring, MD/DeMatha) in receiving that honor.

The All-MARC teams were selected based upon nominations by the student-athletes' respective head coaches. To qualify for the MARC Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must a) have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5, b) be in their second, third, or fourth year of eligibility, and c) must have competed in 75% of the varsity competitions or competed in the MARC Championships.
