Will Travel To Austria In July
WEST WINDSOR, NJ – Washington College rising sophomore John Gould (Litchfield, CT/The Gunnery), representing the Pennsylvania Athletic Club Rowing Association (Penn AC), served as the coxswain for the Penn AC boat which won the US Rowing Under 23 Men's 4+ A Final on Wednesday morning at Mercer Lake with a time of 6:30.69. With the victory, Gould will be participating at the 2013 World Rowing Under 23 Championships on the Danube River in Linz-Ottensheim, Austria on July 24-28.
Gould was on a boat which contained four rowers and the coxswain beat out Vesper A, who finished with a time of 6:39.97. Penn AC will represent US Rowing at the championships for the Under 23 Men's 4+ race.
Gould also served as a coxswain for the winning varsity eight boat at the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference championships back on April 27 in Lewisberry, PA at Gifford Pinchot State Park.
