CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Host Washington College erased an early 11 point deficit to defeat visiting Muhlenberg 50-46 in a Centennial Conference women’s basketball game played today at the Cain Athletic Center in Chestertown, Maryland. The win for the Shorewomen is their first home win over Muhlenberg since a 64-63 win back on January 20th, 2007.
The visiting Washington College women’s basketball team scored the most points ever in a quarter as they scored 31 in the first quarter on its way to a 76-51 win over host Notre Dame (Md.) on Wednesday night in a non-conference women’s basketball game at MBK Sports Complex. The Shorewomen, who eclipsed their previous quarter high by five points, improve to 2-0, while the Gators drop to 1-2. Washington is 2-0 for the first time since 2012-13.

The game did not count as a game in the season standings for either team.
Last season the Washington College women’s basketball team finished strong by winning its final two games and are hoping to use that as a springboard for the 2019-20 season as the Shorewomen compete for a spot in the Centennial Conference Tournament under seventh-year head coach Alisha Mosley.
