First Time Honoree of the Award

LANCASTER, Pa. – Sophomore attacker Lauren Brenner (Glen Mills, Pa./Episcopal Academy) has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for women's lacrosse for the week of March 12-18.  This is the first time Brenner has garnered the conference's weekly award.

Brenner scored nine goals and added an assist for 10 points, in a 2-0 week for the Shorewomen. In the team's 14-13 overtime win at Randolph-Macon on Saturday, she scored the walk-off goal on a free position goal with 4:15 left for her fourth goal of the game. Her third goal of the game came with 15:35 left to tie the game at 10-10 that was part of a 5-1 WC run that gave the Shorewomen a 13-11 lead late in the second half. In Tuesday's 17-14 victory at Christopher Newport, she set career-highs of five goals and six points as she had three points in each half. Brenner scored the team's final two goals of the first half to give Washington a 9-6 lead at half and she ended a Christopher Newport run of five unanswered goals with 1:42 left in the game for the contest's final score.

She is the first Washington player to earn the weekly award since Katherine Vincent won the award on March 27, 2017.
