Alison Pantazes Ties Single-Game Assist Record in Shorewomen's 16-12 Win Over Yellow Jackets

Senior Tallies Seven Assists in Win

CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Senior attacker Alison Pantazes (Middletown, Del./Middletown) tied the school record for assists in a single game with seven as the host Washington College women's lacrosse team defeated visiting Randolph-Macon, 16-12, in a non-conference game this afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium.

How It Happened
- The Yellow Jackets scored the first three goals of the game, taking a 3-0 lead on a Hannah Jones free-position shot with 18:23 left in the first half. The Shorewomen then scored four of the next five goals to even things up on a Cecily Docktor goal off a Pantazes assist with 9:12 on the clock.
- Randolph-Macon regained the lead on a Mary Castle tally with 6:31 to play, but the Shorewomen tied the score again at 5-5 with 12.7 seconds to go before the break on an Aubrey Robinson goal off Docktor assist.
- The Shorewomen scored the first three goals of the second half for an 8-5 lead on a Docktor goal off a Lauren Brenner assist with 22:50 left. Kaylyn Hewes got a goal back for the Yellow Jackets on a free-position shot with 21:43 left, but Washington scored the next three goals for a commanding 11-6 lead, capping things off with a Pantazes assist on a Docktor goal with 16:58 left.
- The Shorewomen went on to build a pair of seven-goal leads, the second coming with 1:47 left when Pantazes notched her record-tying seventh assist on a goal by Lexi Rullo with 1:47 remaining for a 16-9 advantage.
- Randolph-Macon scored three goals in final 78 seconds to provide the final margin.

- Pantazes, who was named the Goose Nation TV Shorewomen Player of the Game, tallied the fifth seven-assist performance in Washington College women's lacrosse history. Tammy Tiehel set the record in 1983 and was the sole record-holder until 2013 when Mollie Shipley turned in two seven-assist games. Alli Dudley then had a seven-assist game the very next season.
