#15 Blue Jays Sweep Shorewomen in Three Sets

BALTIMORE, Md. — 15th-ranked Johns Hopkins withstood a strong effort from visiting Washington College in the first and third sets to post a 25-23, 25-18, 25-20, Centennial Conference volleyball match tonight to remain undefeated this season.

How It Happened
- The first set was a battle throughout, but the Blue Jays closed things out with a kill by Simone Bliss for the 25-23 set win. 
- The second set was tied 9-9 before the Blue Jays ran off six straight points for a 15-9 lead on a Michelle Abt kill and never looked back. A Micaelle Larrieux kill finished things off.
- The third set was tied at 12-12 before Hopkins scored the next three points to take a 15-12 lead on a Larrieux kill. Washington batled back to even the score at 16-16 on a Kaitlyn Marino kill, but the Blue Jays answered with four consecutive points to take the lead for good on a Morgan Wu kill.
